Preventive Steps for Heartburn Pregnancy


If you ask women who have experienced motherhood, most of them will agree that heartburn pregnancy is one of the most common problems and in most probability, they will ask you not to bother much about it. And it is true. Indigestion problems are very common during pregnancy. However, that does not mean that you ignore the problem and remain rest assured that since heartburn during pregnancy is common, you give up thinking on that completely. There are certainly a few preventive steps which if taken can help you not have heartburn sensation during pregnancy at all. Here are few of them.

Drinking water and other fluids is very important and healthy too; but not when you are in between your meals. To drink water between meals is not a good habit anyway and has to be strictly avoided when you are pregnant. One of the primary reasons for heartburn pregnancy is when too much of water in your stomach does not allow fast digestion of your food and even stretches the stomach too much. Thus, you have to drink right to ensure that you do not suffer from Heartburn Pregnancy.

After you have drunk it right, you need to eat right too. You might have those moments of temptation when you cannot but consume those highly rich, oily and deep fried food. Well, on a few rare occasions they are fine, but too much of it can trigger your stomach to irritate you and cause heartburn. Also try to avoid the citrusy fruit, especially in the morning in an empty stomach. If you have them make sure that your stomach is at least partially filled and your food has a lot of fiber and nutrients in it. Eating right is very important during pregnancy, not just to avoid heartburn, but for the overall health too.

Heartburn Pregnancy Get the Pillows

Sleep right so that you do not face heartburn pregnancy.  Do not sleep right after your lunch or dinner. Give it at least an hour’s time. Also if you are lying down, stack a few pillows below your head to prevent the acid from rising and thus, preventing heartburn.  Thus, prevent heartburn pregnancy and enjoy the nine months.
